I really like my job. I hardly ever travel to my city of birth. The crafts/arts began with my brother-in-law who is a craftsman/artist. He was the one who taught me the basics with macrame and I liked it but I liked the metal more so I bought material. Despite practicing only myself because when it came down to it, nobody taught you so I practiced it & I learned with my own techniques. When
I started in the Chiclayo artisan passage, they would not let me sell & they would throw my work away always so I decided to go to the market in my city. Almost nothing was sold. So one day my brother-in-law told me he wanted to go to Ecuador. I thought it strange and so left to eat to travel alone & learning alone too. I practically only learned to work metal. I have 7 brothers. I was born in Chiclayo.
